Requirements

• Experience owning team-wide projects and obsessing over the impact, and managing expectations across stakeholders
• Experience building complex systems or working within regulated industries, with a focus on scaling
• Track record of high quality and high velocity decision-making influenced by lessons learned
• Strong skills in debugging intricate systems
• Proficiency in Python or Go (experience with Django, React, or TypeScript is a plus)
• Experience with cloud-native tools managed by IaC
• Experience with traditional HTTP API paradigms and durable asynchronous execution frameworks

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end problem-solving, from conception to implementation
• Build prototypes for creative solutions to the problems you’re solving
• Improve your team’s quality bar through contributions, reviews, and team operations
• Simplify the team's domain by spotting patterns, building expertise within your team’s domain, and questioning the status quo
• Make decisions and hone your judgment by documenting clear, critical thinking and evaluating options
• Grow your team by building genuine connections, embracing vulnerability, and working transparently
• Own team-wide projects and obsess over the impact, and managing expectations across stakeholders

• Attend team offsites, events, and hackathons a couple of times a year
• Attend our annual 3-day company retreat in the fall
• Work in-office or hybrid with offices in New York City and San Francisco
• Participate in regular happy hours, game nights, etc.
