Counterpart Health is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build scalable and efficient systems that enhance human efforts and improve real-world health outcomes by supporting Primary Care Physicians (PCPs) through their innovative primary care tool, Counterpart Assistant.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
- Proficiency in Python, Ruby, Go, C, or Java.
- Experience building and refactoring complex (often distributed) systems.
- Experience building and maintaining systems with maturity, rigor, and attention to scalability.
- Comfortable working across different technical systems and concerns.
Responsibilities
- Simplify the complexities of healthcare by building scalable, efficient systems that enhance human efforts.
- Help define and maintain development practices that enable fast iteration while ensuring quality, including writing tests and documenting key implementations.
- Conceptualize and develop new features in collaboration with Product Managers and operational teams.
- Actively participate in technical discussions and create clear, easy to understand implementations/Technical Design Documents when tackling ambiguous open ended problems.
- Reinforce existing design patterns as a way to manage system complexity and successfully introduce new patterns when appropriate.
- Identify opportunities for improvements, evaluate new technologies.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented engineering environment.
