DroneDeploy is looking to solve the challenge of building cohesive, performant 3D experiences from diverse spatial data inputs, leveraging emerging technologies like gaussian splatting, to provide customers with unprecedented insight into their physical spaces.

Requirements

• Demonstrated mastery of Three.js (Babylon.js) and the modern 3D web ecosystem.
• Extensive experience designing and implementing software architecture for large-scale, interactive front-end applications.
• Expert-level proficiency with modern TypeScript and Angular.
• Strong foundation in web technologies (such as WebGL/WebGPU).
• A strong commitment to quality, with deep, hands-on experience developing and implementing comprehensive testing strategies (unit, integration, performance, TDD).
• Experience with performance optimization.
• Familiarity with 3D data formats and processing pipelines, including point clouds, 3D Tiles and Gaussian Splats.

Responsibilities

• Drive architectural discussions and decisions as a team, ensuring our 3D platform is scalable, performant, and maintainable for the long term.
• Collaboratively architect and build robust, scalable, and maintainable 3D components and systems for our core application.
• Collaborate with and learn from fellow senior engineers to foster a culture of technical excellence and shared growth.
• Collaborate with product owners, designers, and fellow engineers to translate complex requirements into high-performance 3D visualizations of large spatial datasets.

Other

• Must be able to work at least 5 hours within 9 am - 5 pm PST.
• 100% Remote, work from home, based in the U.S.
• Occasional domestic travel for company events or team gatherings.
