Take2 AI is looking to scale the infrastructure powering their AI-driven products to support millions of candidate interactions, evolving the architecture to meet new demands, guide technical direction, and mentor engineers while delivering high-impact solutions.
Requirements
- 10+ years software engineering experience (with high exposure to full stack)
- Experience building, operating, and scaling high-throughput, high-availability distributed systems, including observability/monitoring and reliability for mission-critical systems
- Capable of contributing across the stack—backend, infrastructure, and web/frontend—jumping in where needed to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Comfortable navigating and working within infrastructure environments, including Kubernetes (EKS), ECS, EC2, and Docker—able to deploy, troubleshoot, and optimize services in production.
- Skilled with JavaScript, Node.js, Python, React, AWS, EKS, ECS, Kubernetes, Docker, MySQL/Postgres
- Built, deployed and scaled end-to-end AI applications (LLMs, speech/voice, recommendation engines, etc.) in consumer-facing products
- Experience with LLMs, Voice, Streaming, Low Latency, or Machine Learning Pipelines
Responsibilities
- Evolve and scale the backend architecture powering our AI-driven products
- Lead technical execution: set architectural direction, mentor engineers, delegate effectively, and remain hands-on
- Build and deliver end-to-end AI applications in close collaboration with product and founding teams
- Ensure the reliability, scalability, and observability of production systems
- Strengthen and evolve our engineering standards and technical culture as a key early leader on the team
Other
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- Has held titles such as Senior SWE, Staff/Principal Engineer, Software Engineering Lead, or Technical Lead
- 2+ years at a Series D+ company
- 2+ years at a fast-paced and high-growth early-stage startup (Series A or lower)
- Demonstrated hands-on technical leadership—ownership of a domain, architecture decisions, delegation/mentoring
