Scout Motors is looking to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by developing electric vehicles with the capability to get to any location, respecting the environment, and taking an iconic American brand forward.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related technical field
- 8+ years in software development, with a focus on back-end technologies
- Proficiency in one of Go, Node.js, Python, Java, or Ruby
- Experience with both relational and/or non-relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis)
- Experience with identity management systems (e.g., Azure AD, AWS Cognito, LDAP, Okta, Keyclock) and directory services for user authentication and management
Responsibilities
- Work with engineers & technical leaders across the company to ship interoperable products and systems
- Lead the architecture, design, and development of complex software systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance
- Implement single sign-on solutions to allow users to authenticate once and access multiple applications securely
- Implement best practices and standards for software development, including code reviews, testing, and documentation
- Mentor and coach junior team members, providing guidance and support to help them grow and succeed
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, continuously learning and experimenting with new tools and techniques to improve our software development process

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, both independently and as part of a team
- Occasional attendance in office with in-person meetings and events, and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time
