Draper is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their team to tackle challenging and impactful defense projects, building secure and reliable solutions under rigorous defense compliance standards.
Requirements
- Python development
- DevOps Practices (CI/CD, containerization, automation)
- Software testing
- Experience with C++ is a strong plus
- Experience with secure or air-gapped environments is a strong plus
- Experience with container security is a strong plus
- Demonstrate an ability to learn new programming languages and technologies quickly.
Responsibilities
- Designs algorithms using modern theory and proven techniques, adheres to software best practices.
- Develops and executes software tests to check compliance with requirements.
- Contributes to system architecture decisions and leads the architecture of sub-systems.
- Identifies project technical risks and develops and executes mitigation strategies.
- Independently execute task assignments.
- Analyzes designs to demonstrate performance and functionality.
- Prepares technical data, procedures, reports, drawings, manuals, and other required documentation.
Other
- A DoD security clearance (or ability to obtain one) is required.
- Secret Clearance is preferred.
