The Azure portal aims to democratize the cloud by providing a fast, simple, productive, and beautiful single-pane-of-glass for customers to explore, learn, acquire, manage, and monitor all Azure products and services. The role is to build features for this portal, which is the main interface of Azure used by millions of customers.
Requirements
- coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C-Sharp, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- 3+ years of professional software development experience.
- 2+ years experience leading at least one product from conception to launch.
- 1+ year(s) of solid development and testing skills, and possess the ability to be productive and effective in a highly collaborative environment.
- 1+ years(s) of proficiency for languages and tools like TypeScript, ES6/ECMAScript 2015, Promises.
- 1+ year(s) of experience with technologies like Single Page Applications (SPAs), JavaScript Object Notation (JSON), Asynchronous JavaScript and XML (AJAX), and Git.
- 1+ year(s) of prior work experience with Microsoft Azure (or other cloud services) and Representational State Transfer Application Programming Interfaces (REST APIs).
Responsibilities
- Optimizes, debugs, refactors, and reuses code to improve performance and maintainability, effectiveness, and return on investment (ROI).
- Continuously evaluates fundamentals (performance, reliability, accessibility, etc.) to identify gaps and potential mitigations.
- Regularly reviews code, maintains a high standard for code quality, and implements processes to improve overall code quality across the team.
Other
- Guides partnership with appropriate stakeholders (e.g., project manager, technical lead) to determine user requirements within and across teams.
- Guides teams and leads identification of dependencies and the development of design documents for a product, application, service, or platform.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
