Microsoft Security aims to address data fragmentation, improve data protection and governance visibility, and manage the merging of traditional IT management roles within organizations by offering integrated solutions through Microsoft Purview. The team is also focused on driving engineering efficiency through cost-optimization and resource utilization improvements for their services.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience with Distributed Services.
- 2+ years of experience designing, building, and operating scalable, highly available cloud services or distributed systems on platforms such as Azure, AWS, GCP, or comparable cloud environments, with production ownership and CI/CD pipeline integration.
- 1+ years of experience designing, developing, or maintaining secure software systems, with applied knowledge of authentication, data protection, access control, and secure coding practices
- 9+ years of experience building software systems, with a focus on large-scale, distributed platforms.
- Programming skills in languages such as C-Sharp, Java, or C++.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Understanding of security principles and the challenges of securing large-scale systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of of robust workflows that streamline deployment and optimize the operations of Microsoft Purview solutions across specialized clouds.
- Mentor and guide engineers, providing technical direction, reviewing code, and ensuring best practices are followed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, security professionals, and data scientists to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Optimize platform performance to handle vast amounts of data across diverse digital systems while ensuring scalability, availability, and security.
- Drive end-to-end project delivery, ensuring timely and high-quality results.
- Work on cloud-native technologies and distributed systems to build a robust, resilient, and secure platform.
- Continuously improve the platform by leveraging new technologies and best practices in security, data governance, and cloud infrastructure.
