Requirements
- 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- Experience with algorithms, data structures, and design patterns
- Experience with React and TypeScript, or willingness to learn
- Technical Mastery: Excellence in object-oriented languages, algorithms, data structures, and design patterns
- Data-Driven Development: Instrumenting apps and leveraging analytics and A/B testing to guide feature development
- Agile Methodology: Well-versed in Agile practices, frequent app releases, and the modern software development lifecycle
- Collaborative Approach: Partnering with teams both locally and globally within Microsoft, as well as contributing to the Open Source community
Responsibilities
- Designing and shipping production software
- Developing new features for Microsoft Teams
- Collaborating with global teams to develop new features
- Utilizing best practices to build robust solutions
- Analyzing feature performance in production to continuously improve the product
- Implementing features fully, whether it involves diving into native code or learning new technologies
- Mentorship, code reviews, and knowledge sharing to foster the professional growth of the team
Other
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
- Onsite 3 days a week in Microsoft's offices in Redmond, WA
