Wells Fargo is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join their Enterprise Functions Technology (EFT) group, specifically within the Finance Technology team. This role will focus on supporting regulatory reporting by contributing to the development and enhancement of the Axiom ControllerView vendor platform and its integrated in-house components.
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional experience in either Axiom ControllerView or a combination of Python and Oracle SQL
- Solid understanding of core programming concepts (data structures, algorithms, OOP), preferably in Python
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, version control (Git), automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines
- Methodical approach to writing and testing clean, maintainable code
- Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL optimization
- Basic to intermediate proficiency with Linux/Unix systems and scripting
Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
- Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
- Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new client needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
- Lead projects and act as an escalation point, providing guidance and direction to less experienced staff

- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- This role will be based out of our Charlotte offices with a minimum expectation of 3 days in the office per week
