Akamai's Account Protector team is looking to prevent account takeovers and fraudulent transactions by comparing user behavior through innovative machine learning algorithms and matching users to their digital footprints using Akamai's internet-scale data.
Requirements
- Have a thorough understanding of web development, including HTML, XML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Have experience with JavaScript based UI frameworks (Angular2 and higher) and accompanying technologies technologies (NPM and Typescript.)
- Have expertise developing web applications or data pipelines in Java
- Demonstrate experience of building and consuming RESTful APIs
- Have knowledge of web security and internet infrastructure including technologies such as HTTP, DNS and TLS
Responsibilities
- Developing data pipelines and analytic systems for our next generation security solutions
- Building powerful, intuitive, next-generation web applications to ensure a consistent user experience for our new anti-fraud security product
- Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams such as Operations, Product Management, Architects and Threat Research to create new features
- Guiding and performing activities such as design and code reviews, identifying improvements to software quality, performance and integration tests.
- Collaborating with our support and operations teams to investigate and troubleshoot complex problem escalations for our customers

- Have 5+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree or Masters degree in a related field
