Oracle’s Cloud Infrastructure team is looking to build large-scale distributed infrastructure services for the cloud to provide industry leading compute, storage, networking, database, security, and cloud-based services to its customers
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of C++ / backend Java and meaningful experience with scripting languages such as Python
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and technologies used to build Microservices in the Cloud
- Knowledge of Cloud Storage Technologies will be considered a strong plus
- Strong knowledge or coursework in data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals
Responsibilities
- own the design and development for major components and features of the Object Storage Service
- work on distributed systems, large scale storage, and highly available services
- assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems
- provide technical leadership to other software developers
- specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs
Other
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent
- 3-5+ years experience in software development, preferably in cloud technologies
- value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn and be mentored
