Forward Financing is looking to enhance its engineering capabilities to support its growing scrum teams and leverage data from third-party vendors for AI/ML initiatives and analytical capabilities. The company aims to build software that powers its FinTech product for small businesses.
Requirements
- Full-Stack development experience, with a focus on the backend (Ruby preferred)
- Deep understanding of software architecture and design patterns
- Demonstrated depth of technical knowledge in one or more areas of the SDLC
- Experience with TypeScript
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement scalable and secure software solutions to meet the evolving needs of Forward’s business
- Serve as a scrum team’s technical leader; driving the enhancement of quality, scalability, reliability, and speed-to-market of Forward’s third-party integration infrastructure
- Elevate software application quality through strategic technical leadership, mentorship, and sponsorship
- Orchestrate cross-team planning for complex, multi-scrum team features
- Advocate for technical excellence across the engineering organization
- Maintain active engagement across multiple scrum teams, ensuring timely resolution of technical challenges
- Boost engineering productivity through targeted technical guidance and mentorship
Other
- Typically has 5 or more years of experience in Agile software development
- Exhibits maturity in all aspects of work
- Significant experience in technical leadership, mentorship, and sponsorship
- Significant expertise designing and implementing complex systems across multiple software applications and/or languages
