Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join their Technology Enterprise Customer Experience, Remediations & Loudspeaker (TECRL) Team, supporting mission-critical test deliverables and ensuring consistent, scalable, and maintainable quality practices across distributed data systems.
Requirements
- 4+ years in test automation and programming (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript; Selenium, Playwright, Postman)
- 4+ years of experience in designing and developing custom automation frameworks for web and microservices testing.
- 3+ years with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub)
- 2+ years with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- 2+ years with test strategy planning and leadership, Agile methodologies, shift-left.
- Proven expertise in automating web applications using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or similar.
- Proficient in one or more programming languages such as Java (preferred), Python, JavaScript, TestNG, .NET for test automation.
Responsibilities
- help define and implement the development and integration of advanced test automation solutions, leveraging the Wells Fargo Automation Framework (WAF) to ensure consistent, scalable, and maintainable quality practices across distributed data systems.
- drive shift-left testing strategies, embedding quality early in the development lifecycle and partnering closely with engineering, data, and business teams to validate complex data pipelines and services.
- play a key role in building functional, regression and end-to-end automation.
- integrating generative AI capabilities to enhance test coverage, accelerate defect detection, and improve overall engineering productivity.
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
- Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
- Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients' needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
