Requirements
- Exceptional skills in programming using Java
- Expertise in Software Design and Architecture
- Knowledge of frameworks like Spring Boot, JUnit
- Deep understanding of Cloud Computing
- Experience working using Agile Methodologies
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area
- Knowledge of accessibility best practices and implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards
Responsibilities
- Apply Java and distributed systems competencies to the improvement of existing products and the development of new software solutions at the enterprise-scale
- Provide guidance to small groups of three to five engineers, including offshore associates, for assigned Engineering projects
- Lead the discovery phase of medium to large projects to come up with high level design by partnering with the product management, project management, business, and user experience teams
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business, product, UX, and other engineering teams to build high quality solutions that are highly scalable and reliable
- Provide support to the business by responding to user questions, concerns, and issues; researching and identifying needed solutions; determining implementation designs; providing guidance regarding implications of new and enhanced systems
- Troubleshoot business and production issues by gathering information; performing root cause analysis to reduce future issues; engaging support teams to assist in the resolution of issues
- Develop solutions; drive the development of an action plan; perform actions as designated in the plan; interpret the results to determine further action; and complete documentation
Other
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years’ experience in software engineering or related area
- 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area
- Travel may be required
- Must be able to work in a hybrid environment, primarily in office coupled with virtual when not onsite
- Must be able to pass a drug test and adhere to Walmart's drug-free workplace policy
