Aptive Environmental is looking to hire a Senior Software Engineer to join their cross-functional engineering team to deliver scalable systems across sales, operations, and field platforms.
Requirements
- Senior proficiency in at least one modern language (JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Go, Java, PHP, C-Sharp, etc.)
- PHP and React experience preferred, and/or willingness to work in PHP and React as part of our primary stack (React, Laravel, PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ)
- At least 5 years of backend and/or frontend development experience delivering production systems preferred
- Strong database and SQL skills; experience designing and optimizing schemas
- Experience owning features or subsystems from design through release
- Familiarity with AI-powered developer tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, etc.) preferred
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend and frontend systems with strong testing and observability
- Collaborate with UX, product managers, and engineers across domains to define and deliver solutions
- Review and improve code for quality, maintainability, and design
- Balance implementation complexity, time to market, scalability, and resiliency
- Mentor teammates and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
- Own features end-to-end: design, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring
