Microsoft's Azure Data engineering team is looking to build the data platform for the age of AI, powering a new class of data-first applications and driving a data culture. The Power BI self-service team aims to democratize data visualization and analytics, making it accessible and intuitive for everyone, regardless of their experience in data science, by leveraging LLM to provide a seamless and engaging user experience.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience with creating responsive and accessible UI using TypeScript, Angular, RxJs, or equivalent
- 4+ years of backend development experience (designing and working with APIs, databases, etc.)
- Experience with LLMs and AI assisted developer tools
- coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C-Sharp, Java, JavaScript, or Python
Responsibilities
- Develop amazing end-to-end features across Power BI's web and desktop application
- Create next generation AI agents and AI assisted user experiences using LLMs
- Run and maintain a distributed system for Power BI hiding this complexity behind easy to use and intuitive experiences
- Build and operate distributed services with world-class availability, performance, and scalability
- Deliver modern user interfaces that are performant, reliable, secure, responsive, and accessible
- Deliver world-class user experiences and cloud services at scale to customers in collaboration with architects, UX designers, and product managers
- Lead the design, delivery, rollout of new features with good quality, maintainability, and end to end ownership

- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
- This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- 1+ year of experience mentoring junior engineers and performing collaborative technical reviews
- Maintain customer focus, considering current and future needs when designing and implementing features.
- Collaborate effectively within the team and with partner teams across Microsoft.
