Microsoft Azure is looking for engineering talent to design, build and operate services and solutions that aid diagnosability across the whole Azure Networking landscape. They own entire services end-to-end from user facing interface to management plane and all the way down to data path implementation. The team is looking for software engineers who are searching for a challenge in large-scale distributed systems in an agile environment.
Requirements
- coding in languages including, but not limited to, C-Sharp, Golang, C++
- Networking (TCP/IP, UDP, TLS/SSL, HTTP/HTTPS)
- Distributed Systems
- Linux/Unix/Windows systems programming, performance optimization
- Virtualization (hypervisors; VM switching, containers)
- Designing and running large-scale fault-tolerant infrastructure services
- Container platforms and technologies (Dockers, Kubernetes)
Responsibilities
- design, build and operate services and solutions that aid diagnosability across the whole Azure Networking landscape
- participate in architecture, design of various components
- ensure a timely development of the features with high quality
- own the component end-to-end, including testing, managing cross team dependencies as well as monitoring and alerting for the deployed component
- extensive internal and external collaborations with other Azure/Microsoft teams as well as networking vendors
- Creates, implements, optimizes, debugs, refactors, and reuses code to establish and improve performance and maintainability, effectiveness, and return on investment (ROI)
- Acts as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) and guides other engineers by developing and following the playbook, working on call to monitor system/product/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions, alerting stakeholders about status and initiates actions to restore system/product/service for simple and complex problems when appropriate

- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
