Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C-Sharp, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- 2+ year's experience in frontend development technologies such as JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, React, or Angular.
- Experience applying Data Science, Machine Learning (ML), or AI techniques to drive product growth.
- Experience with large-scale data technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, Big Data).
- Coding experience in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C-Sharp, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- Frontend development experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, React, or Angular
- Experience with cloud-based services and technologies
Responsibilities
- Partners with appropriate stakeholders including Program Management and Design to determine user requirements for complex, end-to-end features.
- Provides hands-on technical leadership for architecture, design, code reviews, development, and quality assurance for scalable, production-quality services.
- Leads by example and mentors others to produce simple, extensible, and maintainable code with very few defects.
- Leverages deep subject-matter expertise of cross-product features to lead project plans, release plans, and work items.
- Holds accountability as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI), mentoring engineers across products, working on-call to monitor and analyze services for degradation, downtime, or interruptions.
- Proactively seeks new knowledge and adapts to new trends, technical solutions, and patterns that will improve the availability, reliability, and performance of our products.
- Fosters a culture of inclusivity and disciplined software engineering practices to deliver business value, guided by data.
Other
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements
- Ability to work from the office at least four days per week, with a 50-mile commute in the U.S. or 25-mile commute in non-U.S. locations
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field (preferred)
- Ability to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
