Microsoft is looking to build differentiated experiences that delight millions of consumers every day and accelerate the growth of online businesses, specifically through the Microsoft Rewards team, which aims to drive growth of Bing's daily active user base and build a loyal user base across the Microsoft consumer ecosystem.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C-Sharp, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • 2+ year's experience in frontend development technologies such as JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, React, or Angular.
  • Experience applying Data Science, Machine Learning (ML), or AI techniques to drive product growth.
  • Experience with large-scale data technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, Big Data).
  • Coding experience in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C-Sharp, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • Frontend development experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, React, or Angular
  • Experience with cloud-based services and technologies

Responsibilities

  • Partners with appropriate stakeholders including Program Management and Design to determine user requirements for complex, end-to-end features.
  • Provides hands-on technical leadership for architecture, design, code reviews, development, and quality assurance for scalable, production-quality services.
  • Leads by example and mentors others to produce simple, extensible, and maintainable code with very few defects.
  • Leverages deep subject-matter expertise of cross-product features to lead project plans, release plans, and work items.
  • Holds accountability as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI), mentoring engineers across products, working on-call to monitor and analyze services for degradation, downtime, or interruptions.
  • Proactively seeks new knowledge and adapts to new trends, technical solutions, and patterns that will improve the availability, reliability, and performance of our products.
  • Fosters a culture of inclusivity and disciplined software engineering practices to deliver business value, guided by data.

Other

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements
  • Ability to work from the office at least four days per week, with a 50-mile commute in the U.S. or 25-mile commute in non-U.S. locations
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field
  • Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field (preferred)
  • Ability to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
