Microsoft's Customer Experience and Success (CE&S) organization is looking to empower customers to accelerate business value through differentiated customer experiences. The Chief Architect Office (CAO) within CE&S Global Customer Success (GCS) aims to provide strategic technical leadership, drive consumption and usage of Microsoft products and services, and enhance technical proficiency across Microsoft by leveraging collective expertise and insights. The Senior Software Engineer will contribute to this mission by developing and refining solutions, ensuring security and reliability, and driving engineering excellence.
Requirements
- 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C-Sharp, Java, JavaScript, SQL, or Python OR equivalent experience.
- 4 years of experience with developing and/or deploying complex solutions on the Microsoft platform.
- Breadth of knowledge across industries and solution areas, with a focus across data services on Microsoft platforms (SQL Database, COSMOS, Databricks, Fabric, Synapse, Purview Data Governance)
- Proven track record with successful delivery and execution of specific cloud projects/programs.
- Commitment to the growth mindset exemplified by continued learning and demonstrated willingness to stay abreast of cloud advancements, including relevant cloud trends across the competitive landscape.
Responsibilities
- You’ll review and write code that meets team standards for quality, security, and performance.
- This includes conducting timely code reviews, applying best practices, and using tools for automated analysis and debugging.
- You’ll also lead by example in producing maintainable, testable, and secure code, while proactively identifying and resolving issues.
- You’ll create and refine test strategies, ensure security and reliability across systems, and collaborate on architecture decisions.
- This involves designing testable code, managing dependencies, and integrating technologies to support scalable and compliant solutions.
- You’ll also guide others in building robust designs and using data to improve products.
- You’ll apply secure design principles, drive automation in deployment, and ensure compliance with global regulations.

- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
