Microsoft’s Azure Data engineering team is leading the transformation of analytics in the world of data with products like databases, data integration, big data analytics, messaging & real-time analytics, and business intelligence, and is looking to build the data platform for the age of AI, powering a new class of data-first applications and driving a data culture.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience developing products or applications powered by Generative AI.
- 1+ year of experience assessing the quality of Generative AI outputs, including evaluating accuracy, utilizing benchmarks and relevant metrics and proposing enhancement
- Experience with industrial machine learning applications
- Hands-on project experiences in big data analysis or distributed computing
- Coding experience in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C-Sharp, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- Experience with cloud offerings
- Experience with distributed computing
Responsibilities
- Design and develop high performance GenAI applications for cloud offerings.
- Solve hard technical challenges in GenAI and distributed computing.
- Use engineering best practices throughout the software development lifecycle to establish maintainable, reliable, and secure systems.
- Collaborate with teammates in various roles to plan and execute on key deliverables.
- Participate in rotating livesite shifts, working on call to monitor system/product feature/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions.

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements
- Ability to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience
