Cenergistic is looking to scale the Optimize platform, which is used by energy specialists and client executives to help schools, hospitals, and organizations reduce energy waste and reinvest savings.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, React ecosystem, and Node.js
- Strong system design, API architecture, and backend engineering skills
- Proficiency with relational databases and data modeling (PostgreSQL preferred)
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD workflows, and AWS cloud services
- Experience with React, React Native, Node.js, Express, Prisma
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, ElasticSearch
- Experience with AWS, GitHub Actions, Terraform
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end feature development across React, React Native, and Node.js
- Architect scalable backend services and multi-tenant data layers serving thousands of buildings
- Optimize performance, security, and usability across platforms
- Coach engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and architecture sessions
- Guide platform architecture evolution as we scale AI capabilities
- Identify and advocate for refactors, performance improvements, and foundational investments
- Influence practices around testing, observability, and secure-by-default design

- 3–5 years experience in Technical Leadership
- Proven track record mentoring engineers and leading technical discussions
- Break down complex, ambiguous problems with minimal guidance
- Make architectural decisions balancing current needs with future scalability
- Clear communication of technical concepts to various audiences
