Microsoft Azure Dedicated (AzD) is looking to expand the capabilities of Azure Cloud by integrating third-party products and services, including hardware and solutions from partners, into the AzD ecosystem to enable new customer experiences and drive future growth.
Requirements
- 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C-Sharp, OR Java, JavaScript, or Python
- 4+ years' experience building and running scalable production services, including securing applications and infrastructure on top of cloud infrastructure like Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- 2+ years experience with inner and outer loop.
- 6+ years' experience building and running scalable production services, including securing applications and infrastructure on top of cloud infrastructure like Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Prior experience with Private Cloud platforms like KVM, VMware, Nutanix, OpenStack or Proxmox will be an advantage.
- Prior understanding of compute and networking frameworks to support these Private Clouds will be an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of a robust platform for integrating third-party products and services, including hardware and solutions from partners such as VMware, Nutanix, and NetApp, into the AzD ecosystem.
- Drive engineering execution, system architecture, live-site operations, and overall solution quality.
- Creates, implements, optimizes, debugs, refactors, and reuses code to establish and improve performance and maintainability, effectiveness, and return on investment (ROI).
- Acts as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) and guides other engineers by developing and following the playbook, working on call to monitor system/product/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions, alerting stakeholders about status and initiates actions to restore system/product/service for simple and complex problems when appropriate.
- Proactively seeks new knowledge and adapts to new trends, technical solutions, and patterns that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale.
- Collaborates with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for a scenario.
- Drives identification of dependencies and the development of design documents for a product, application, service, or platform.

- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- 1+ years experience leading projects and/or mentoring other software engineers.
- 2+ years experience capturing customer/partner requirements and translating into team sprints for execution.
