Microsoft is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Copilot Studio's AI Orchestration team. This team is responsible for leveraging and optimizing generative AI models to perform actions, make decisions, and create responses within an agent. The goal is to power millions of conversational and autonomous agents daily and integrate them with various Microsoft products. The role involves analyzing, experimenting with, and productizing new AI capabilities in a rapidly evolving AI landscape.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience building generative AI applications or services.
  • 2+ years of experience with the Power Platform or M365 Enterprise development.
  • 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C-Sharp, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • 5+ years of industry experience in fullstack or backend development, successfully shipping services through multiple releases.
  • 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C-Sharp, Java, JavaScript, or Python

Responsibilities

  • Creates, implements, optimizes, debugs, refactors, and reuses code to establish and improve performance and maintainability, effectiveness, and return on investment (ROI).
  • Drives creation and conducting of experimentation to determine the effectiveness of changes, monitors developments for prototyping and testing products, and interprets results from experimentation.
  • Acts as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) and guides other engineers by developing and following the playbook, working on call to monitor system/product/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions, alerting stakeholders about status and initiates actions to restore system/product/service for simple and complex problems when appropriate.
  • Proactively seeks new knowledge and adapts to new trends, technical solutions, and patterns that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale.
  • Provide technical leadership, create clarity for projects and the organization for projects, generate team energy, and drive for project results and impact.
  • Build features with high quality and maintainability alongside teams of other engineers.
  • Operate our AI services.

  • 3 days / week in-office
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
