Ford's Global Data Insight & Analytics is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to advise leadership on business conditions, customer needs and the competitive landscape by developing on-premises and cloud analytic solutions.
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in Software Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience with frontend frameworks (Angular, React, or Vue)
- 3+ years of experience with backend frameworks (Flask, Django, FastAPI, or SpringBoot)
- 2+ years of experience with Python and Java programming language
- Experience with developing for and deploying to cloud platforms (e.g. GCP, PCF, Azure)
- Comfortable with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery tools and pipelines e.g., Tekton, Terraform Jenkins, Cloud Build, etc.
- Experience in the development of microservices
Responsibilities
- collaborate with multiple organizations (Business Customers, Product Owners, Data Tech, IT) to convert business goals into analytic solutions.
- work in small, cross-functional teams and embrace lean and agile practices, software best practices, software quality scanning, automated testing, and CI/CD.
- The Software Engineer will work on a balanced Product Team and collaborate with the Product Manager, Product Designer, and other Software Engineers to deliver analytic solutions.
- The Software Engineer will be responsible for the development and ongoing support/maintenance of the analytic solutions.
- Participate in and/or lead the development of requirements, features, user stories, use cases, and test cases.
- Work with the Business Customer, Product Owner, Architects, Product Designer, Software Engineers, and Security Controls Champion on solution design, development, and deployment.
- Generate Metrics, Perform User Access Authorization, Perform Password Maintenance, and Build Deployment Pipelines.

- This position is hybrid. Candidates who are in commuting distance to a Ford hub location may be required to be onsite four or more days per week.
