Udacity is looking to solve the business and technical problem of forging futures in tech through radical talent transformation in digital technologies by revolutionizing how the enterprise market bridges the talent shortage and skills gaps during their digital transformation journey. The Platform and Core Services team owns and operates the cloud services and developer tools that power Udacity, and they are looking for an engineer to help with configuring cloud infrastructure, developing new tools and services, teaching best practices, and resolving production service outages.
Requirements
- Cloudflare, AWS and Kubernetes experience.
- Developing experience in any of the following languages: Go, Python, Ruby.
- Experience running Microservices using Linux and Docker technologies, ideally in a Kubernetes platform on AWS.
- Infrastructure as code, like Terraform, Pulumi or AWS Cloud Formation.
- Interest in systems engineering, networking (ideally with Cloudflare), and security administration.
Responsibilities
- Implement and Support Udacity Production Platform.
- Innovate in the Engineering Platform space by incorporating new technologies.
- Manage our fleet of cloud services in AWS and Cloudflare.
- Provide support and advice to Developers building new student-facing applications.
- Use configuration management tools to deploy and maintain Udacity products.
- Participate in on-call rotation for production incident response.
