The Azure Dedicated Team is responsible for attaching enterprise-grade bare metal workloads within and outside Azure to other key Azure services like VMs, AKS, and Azure Storage. They need to create scalable services to manage the secure attachment of bare metal infrastructure in a hyper-scale multi-cloud environment and provide end-to-end assurances about enterprise-grade security for Fortune 500 companies. The Senior Software Engineer will work on cutting-edge security engineering and features to offer best-in-class security assurances from Enterprise Storage workloads to AI training infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Hands on HPC / AI experience in k8s and scheduling.
  • Experience in IPMI networks and node / systems level management, including BIOS and TPM a strong plus.
  • Experience in systems level security, including server management, BIOS security and TPM administration etc a strong plus.
  • coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C-Sharp, OR Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C-Sharp, OR Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C-Sharp, Java, JavaScript, OR Python
  • 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C-Sharp, Java, JavaScript, or Python

Responsibilities

  • Creates, implements, optimizes, debugs, refactors, and reuses code to establish and improve performance and maintainability, effectiveness, and return on investment (ROI).
  • Acts as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) and guides other engineers by developing and following the playbook, working on call to monitor system/product/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions, alerting stakeholders about status and initiates actions to restore system/product/service for simple and complex problems when appropriate.
  • Proactively seeks new knowledge and adapts to new trends, technical solutions, and patterns that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale.
  • Drives identification of dependencies and the development of design documents for a product, application, service, or platform.
  • Collaborates with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for a scenario.
  • Leverages subject-matter expertise of product features and partners with appropriate stakeholders (e.g., project managers) to drive a workgroup's project plans, release plans, and work items.
