Walmart is looking to design and build scalable applications and services that power associate-facing experiences, and drive technical excellence across the ADE ecosystem.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Java, Python, or similar languages; experience with distributed systems and APIs.
- Hands-on experience with Azure or AWS, CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement scalable solutions.
- Experience with ADE-related platforms (e.g., device lifecycle tools, identity management, collaboration apps).
- Familiarity with security best practices and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in Java, Python, or similar languages
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and cloud platforms
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement robust, scalable backend and full-stack solutions for ADE applications.
- Set design patterns, enforce coding standards, and conduct code reviews to ensure maintainability and resilience.
- Implement telemetry, monitoring, and DevOps practices for continuous delivery and operational excellence.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions (RCCA) for defects; optimize performance and security.
- Work closely with product, UX, and global tech teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Architect, develop, and maintain scalable, secure applications and services for associate-facing digital experiences.
- Ensure code quality through best practices, testing, and maintainability.
Other
- 5+ years in software engineering, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional engagement.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 1 year's experience in software engineering or related area.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with product, UX, and global tech teams.
