MLabs is building a comprehensive online community platform from first principles and is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to be a foundational member of their engineering team, contributing significantly to product direction and building scalable systems.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in software engineering, specifically with a strong background in TypeScript and functional programming.
- Proven track record of building scalable systems with a strong product sense.
- Familiarity with our core tech stack: TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
- Experience with React Native.
- A strong lean towards backend infrastructure scaling.
Responsibilities
- Write modular, maintainable, and thoughtful code with a strong emphasis on TypeScript and functional programming patterns.
- Create technical rails and guardrails to enable AI coding agents to robustly make changes and develop new features, pushing the boundaries of engineering efficiency.
- Monitor and maintain our production environment, working with users to quickly identify and resolve bugs.
- Take full ownership of various features across the full stack, from database interactions and API design to responsive front-end components.
- Optimize API server infrastructure and database queries to ensure high performance and accommodate rapid usage growth.
