BlueHalo, an AV Company is looking for a mission-driven Senior Software Engineer to support high-visibility development on a metrics and monitoring platform. The engineer will improve and maintain dashboards, alerts, and system integrations that enable real-time insights and support national defense operations, directly impacting how mission teams track system health and performance.
Requirements
- Proficiency with Java full stack development
- Experience with ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana, OpenTelemetry, and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with Git
- Experience with Groovy, Maven, or GitLab CI/CD
- Understanding of REST architectures and API integrations
- Familiarity with the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence)
- Experience building lightweight, shareable software versions for partner distribution
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Java full-stack software applications
- Integrate metrics tools like OpenTelemetry, Grafana, and Elastic Stack
- Containerize applications using Kubernetes and Docker
- Develop RESTful APIs for data transport and messaging
- Support DevOps integration and performance tuning
- Contribute to documentation, testing, and team collaboration
