Red Hat OpenStack Engineering team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer with experience in hybrid cloud Infrastructure-as-a-Service to join their Red Hat OpenStack Platform team to work on packaging, testing, and release processes.
Requirements
- Experience with Git
- Experience with Python programming
- Experience with Agile Development practices
- Experience using Jira for task management and bug tracking
- Experience with Linux distribution packaging
- Experience working in release engineering
- Experience with CI and CI tools, e.g., Jenkins, Zuul
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the Red Hat OpenStack Platform packaging, testing, and release process
- Assist in the maintenance of any packages which are part of Red Hat OpenStack Platform or related channels as required
- Assist with bug triage
- Assist with building out infrastructure for both scale out and up of Red Hat OpenStack Platform deployments
- Learning the Red Hat OpenStack Platform release processes and technologies
Other
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to work in fast paced, dynamic environments
- Ability to work independently
