Requirements
- 10+ years of software development experience with strong CS fundamentals
- Proven experience delivering and operating large-scale distributed systems
- Strong expertise in Java, Python, or similar languages
- Skilled in designing and building high-performance APIs and web services (REST, gRPC, GraphQL)
- Experience with search infrastructure such as Elasticsearch or Lucene is a strong plus
- Strong systems thinking and ability to set long-term architectural direction
Responsibilities
- Own and drive complex technical projects across multiple teams or domains
- Define long-term architecture for high-scale, low-latency search systems
- Review and guide critical designs, ensuring quality, performance, and resilience
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and data teams to align execution with business goals
- Mentor senior engineers and support talent development across the org
- Lead root-cause analysis, long-term fixes, and improvements across the stack
- Contribute to engineering strategy through documentation, design reviews, and technical leadership
