Microsoft 365 and Copilot are significant drivers of Microsoft’s success across the commercial landscape. The Microsoft 365 Growth + Incubation (MG+I) team is focused on incubating and accelerating growth across Microsoft 365 with AI-powered experiences like Copilot, incubating new product capabilities, and driving partner-led scale. We help customers become Frontier Firms—organizations that embrace AI to reimagine work—by embedding intelligent agents into workflows and shaping product-market fit through tight feedback loops. We are seeking a skilled and visionary Senior Software Engineer to lead the design, development, and scaling of AI-powered multi-agent systems. You will architect intelligent, secure, and scalable agent-based platforms that integrate deeply with Microsoft 365, Copilot, and the Microsoft Graph ecosystem. This role is foundational to our AI transformation journey and will shape the future of agentic architecture at Microsoft and extensibility to our partner ecosystem.

Requirements

  • 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C-Sharp, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • 2+ years of experience working with distributed systems, microservices, and/or cloud-native architectures (Azure preferred).
  • 1+ years' experience in AI/ML or agentic systems.
  • Expertise in Python, C-Sharp, and TypeScript.
  • Experience with AI frameworks such as LangChain, Semantic Kernel, and orchestration tools like Autogen.
  • Familiarity with LLMs (Large Language Models), vector databases, and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 extensibility, Copilot Studio, and Microsoft Graph API.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement scalable, secure, and compliant multi-agent systems using LLMs, orchestration frameworks, and Microsoft’s AI stack.
  • Technically drive solutions from idea to production quality product.
  • Integrate agents with Microsoft Graph, Power Platform, and internal APIs to enable cross-system intelligence and automation.
  • Define and enforce architectural standards for agent interoperability, real-time processing, and fault tolerance.
  • Drive performance optimization and observability improvements across agentic workflows.
  • Oversee Live Site operations for agentic systems, ensuring reliability, rapid incident response, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with Microsoft’s Responsible AI and security standards, including Role Based Access Control (RBAC), data masking, and audit logging.

Other

  • Demonstrated technical leadership and ability to mentor engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
  • Collaborate with partner engineering teams to build extensible frameworks that support third-party agent development and deployment.
  • Work closely with Product Managers in an incubation setting.
  • Embody our culture and values
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field OR equivalent experience.
