Apex Fintech Solutions is seeking to design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions to power innovation and the future of digital wealth management, supporting clients such as Stash, Betterment, SoFi, and Webull, and more than 20 million of their customers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software development with a strong proficiency in one or more programming languages, including Java
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and methodologies for backend services
- Experience contributing to epics and participating in technical direction and implementation strategy for projects
- Experience with CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) pipelines and tools, automating build, test, and deployment processes
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience with SQL including the ability to write complex queries and optimise database performance
- Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Jira)
Responsibilities
- Software Development: Contribute to the development, support, and quality assurance efforts of our technology products that power our platforms and services. Utilise automated testing extensively to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the services.
- Technical Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation and guides, ensuring they are up to date, accurate, and easy to understand for both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Product Releases and Deployments: Support product releases and deployments, working with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and successful releases into production environments.
- Data Analysis: Analyse datasets for accuracy and logical values, leveraging your analytical skills to ensure data integrity and contribute to insights that drive decision-making and product improvements.
- Code Review and Quality Assurance: Participate in code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and quality metrics.
- AI Tools and Practices: Leverage AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity, code quality, and solution innovation. Stay informed about ways AI can support software engineering and delivery.
- Problem Solving and Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve technical issues, troubleshoot production incidents, and implement solutions to minimise system downtime and ensure service reliability.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience) required; advanced degree preferred
- Ability to troubleshoot production systems, diagnose issues, and implement effective solutions to ensure system reliability and availability
- Strong problem-solving abilities, analytical thinking, and attention to detail
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and contribute to technical discussions
- This role operates in a hybrid capacity, requiring on-site collaboration three days per week.
