Microsoft Specialized Clouds is looking to solve complex challenges at scale by delivering industry-leading cloud and edge capabilities for customers with advanced sovereignty, security, and compliance needs.
Requirements
- Coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C-Sharp, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- Experience in implementing large-scale, low latency and high-quality distributed systems.
- Experience in developing Agentic AI applications.
- 3+ years hands on experience in any language such as C-Sharp, Go, Rust or Powershell.
- Experience in Kubernetes and familiar with open sources services in Kubernetes ecosystem.
- Cloud and services experience, with Azure cloud experience as a preference.
- Experience with modern software development and/or micro service technologies
Responsibilities
- Be solid technically, with in-depth knowledge and experience in developing distributed cloud services and a good understanding of Operating Systems.
- Design and implement scalable, highly available services which will be part of the core Edge Platform.
- Be directly responsible for transforming loosely defined ideas into tangible design
- Drive the implementation and execution to bring the vision to life.
- Traditional software engineering skills such as agile methodologies with a focus on efficiency, iterating quickly and failing fast.
- Ability to implement scalable, maintainable and efficient code.
- Be a solid individual contributor– extending the team culture, helping plan and prioritize work and be accountable for world-class cloud service.

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience
