Yardzen is seeking to transform the $200 billion outdoor renovation industry with AI, data, and technology, and is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help build the next generation of their platform.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 3 years operating at a senior level
- Strong full-stack experience at startups across frontend, backend, and infrastructure
- Familiarity with security and compliance best practices
- Experience designing and working with scalable systems and APIs
- Devops, Devex, and performance mindset
- Interest in and demonstrated experience using AI tools to accelerate and improve the delivery of quality software and infrastructure
- Experience with React / Next.js, Node / NestJS, Postgres / Prisma, React Native, Python, AWS, Terraform
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, well-tested code on schedule
- Provide technical leadership on large and complex projects, from requirements through implementation
- Partner with Product to understand problems, shape requirements, and design scalable solutions
- Identify, propose, and implement solutions to address and prevent technical debt
- Perform code reviews to ensure best practices, maintainability, and quality standards
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve our codebase, tooling, processes, and architecture
- Contribute to technical estimates and planning for larger features and initiatives
