Microsoft Azure Compute cloud is looking to build high-impact features and develop advanced security solutions, and this role aims to solve the business problem of enhancing performance, security, and quality of Azure Compute Node Services.
Requirements
- Coding experience in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C-Sharp, OR Java, JavaScript, Rust or Python
- Experience in large-scale distributed systems analysis and troubleshooting
- Experience in high-stakes production online service environments (preferred)
- Experience in azure compute core and security domains (preferred)
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle management
- Experience with core compute and security technologies
- Familiarity with Azure Core Compute features
Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and maintain code to enhance performance, security, and quality.
- Partner with stakeholders (e.g., project managers) to drive project plans, release plans, and work items, leveraging your expertise in product features.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to conceptualize high-level design for scenarios or features.
- Lead in identifying dependencies and crafting design documents for Azure Core Compute features.
- Acts as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) and guides other engineers by developing and following the playbook, working on call to monitor service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions, alerting stakeholders about status and initiating actions to restore service.
- Continuously acquire new knowledge, adapting to technical trends and patterns to improve product availability, reliability, and performance.
- Take on the role of Architect, driving the development of azure compute node services features with a security-first approach.
