DAT is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help transform carrier onboarding, develop payments and financing features, modernize the mobile app, integrate DAT-Convoy data, and enhance marketplace impression tracking. The goal is to empower carriers to find freight, onboard seamlessly, manage shipments, and build relationships with brokers within a next-generation SaaS technology platform for transportation logistics.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a proven track record of delivering impactful products.
- Strong full-stack fundamentals with the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Experience with React, Node.js, React Native, PostgreSQL, Kafka, and AWS.
- Passion for product and user outcomes, prioritizing business value and user experience over technical novelty.
- Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to break down complex, undefined problems.
- Clear communication skills to identify when help is needed and communicate blockers in actionable ways.
- Background in marketplace platforms, two-sided networks, or logistics technology.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of high-impact product initiatives spanning carrier onboarding transformation, payments and financing features, mobile app modernization, DAT-Convoy data integration, and enhanced marketplace impression tracking.
- Work across the full stack (React Native, React, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Kafka, AWS, GraphQL) to deliver features from concept to delivery.
- Partner with teams across the marketplace to drive features and initiatives.
- Mentor and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business impact.
- Break down complex, undefined problems and deliver solutions.
- Support the entire shipment lifecycle through system development.
- Contribute to fraud prevention, search & discovery, and performance monitoring systems.
