Microsoft Azure is facing increasing challenges and requirements for reliability, performance, and scalability as organizations move mission critical workloads into the cloud, and the Azure Core team is looking to innovate and improve the core cloud architecture
Requirements
- Coding experience in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C-Sharp, OR Java, JavaScript, or Python
- 1+ year(s) experience with expertise in one of the cloud platform areas, such as compute, network, and storage on Azure and/or competitive cloud technologies
- Strong architecture design skills for complicated large-scale software systems
- Experience with demonstrated technical leadership through prior technical coaching or leadership roles
- Proven ability to quickly adapt in rapidly evolving business situations
- Experience with Azure and/or competitive cloud technologies
Responsibilities
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to understand challenges and identify opportunities from strategic customers’ perspectives
- Define and plan technology requirements and solutions to resolve complex end-to-end business and engineering challenges from strategic customers’ Corporate Responsibility and Inclusion (CRI) lens
- Drive the architecture plan, review, and development
- Drive issue or gap resolution across the Azure team as they are encountered
- Drive systemic improvements across Azure or proactively identifying feature gaps/capabilities and working across teams to ensure customers are enabled
- Partners with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for a set of scenarios
- Leverages subject-matter expertise of cross-product features with appropriate stakeholders to drive multiple group's project plans, release plans, and work items to land customer exposed issues
Other
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements
- Ability to work from home partially
