Reddit is seeking a backend software engineer with strong data skills to join their Ads Conversion Signals team to grow the quantity and quality of off-platform conversion signals while prioritizing user privacy. The role aims to guide the team's future direction, evolve key products like Signals Quality and Signals Anomaly Detection, and improve the data pipeline and advertiser setup.
Requirements
- 5+ years of full-time backend and data focused software engineering experience in a highly scalable computing environment
- Experience working with data is a MUST, including but not limited to the ability to independently perform data analysis, building scoring models, as well as understanding how conversion signals data quality impacts other downstream systems
- Experience in software development, with a passion for learning and adapting to new technologies that you lacked prior experience with
- Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems
- Languages: Go, Python

- Datastores: Postgres, Cassandra, Druid, Redis, BigQuery
Responsibilities
- Independently identify opportunities based on our data and drive the evolution of our products that would help improve the quality of our conversion data.
- Lead the development of advertiser facing products along with a group of frontend and backend engineers that would improve both the quality as well as quantity of our conversions data using cutting-edge technologies.
- Be a thought partner of your leadership as well as XFNs while contributing towards the development of key projects such as signals quality and signals anomaly detection.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including product managers, data scientists, designers, and other engineers, to deliver high-quality solutions that meet our stakeholders' needs.
- Take ownership of your work, from concept to delivery, and ensure that your solutions are scalable, reliable, and meet the highest standards of quality and performance
- Continuously learn and grow with our team, staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in software development.

- Prior experience in the Ads Conversion Signals space, with a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in these areas as well as its downstream impact
