The CoreAI team at Microsoft is looking to solve the business problem of empowering developers to shape the future with Artificial Intelligence (AI) by creating tools, platforms, and workflows that redefine software development and enable dynamic, AI-driven applications. Specifically, the Agent Framework team aims to generate innovative ideas in the Agentic AI space and apply them to developer processes and tools, transforming these ideas into reality.
Requirements
- 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C-Sharp, Python, Java, TypeScript, or Go
- 2+ years experience developing software on a cloud using at least two of C-Sharp, Python, SQL, Java, Go.
- Experience building applications that use AI models.
- Experience in Application Programming Interfaces Frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to define and deliver platforms from concept to production.
- coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C-Sharp, Java, JavaScript, or Python
Responsibilities
- Produce secure, high-quality code with performance and testability.
- Lead architecture, testing design ideas, and mentoring engineers.
- Build tools, reusing code responsibly, and sharing best practices.
- Run experiments and defining success metrics with partners.
- Innovate in Agentic AI to shape developer tools and build transformative products.
- Code in multiple languages (e.g., C-Sharp, Python) and building cloud-based AI applications from concept to production.

- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
