Google needs software engineers to develop next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another, specifically to work on projects critical to Google's needs such as the Gemini Learning team's mission to democratize learning for all
Requirements
- Experience with Python, Java/Kotlin, C++
- Experience across the lifecycle of AI products such as data analysis, model building, quality improvement, deployment, etc with end-to-end ownership and launching of AI capabilities
- 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages
- 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture
- Experience with data structures/algorithms
- Experience developing accessible technologies
- Experience with Reinforcement Learning (RL), AI agents, generative AI, etc
Responsibilities
- Write and test product or system development code
- Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies
- Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices
- Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback
- Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality
- Work on a specific project critical to Google's needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects
- Build the learning experiences on the Gemini Application (Bard) using the latest in AI technologies
Other
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field
- 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role
- Ability to work on a team and display leadership qualities
- Enthusiasm to take on new problems across the full-stack
