Vanta is looking to shape its AI offerings, improve its systems, and set the long-term technical strategy for its end-to-end AI architecture by building solid infrastructure foundations and high-leverage AI developer tools.
Requirements
- knowledge in designing, developing, and deploying AI applications leveraging LLM models and systems, with a strong focus on quality and evaluation, prompt engineering, vector stores, RAG, and agentic frameworks
- experience designing, building, and scaling internal developer solutions (APIs/services/platform) for ML/AI engineers
- understand how to improve non-deterministic systems, creating evaluation sets, and driving quality hill-climbing
- able to ramp up to different development environments and languages quickly
- bonus if you already know Typescript
Responsibilities
- Team up with AI product engineering teams to deliver foundational AI solutions that enable speedy creation of AI-powered features and deliver customer value
- Work closely with other engineers at Vanta to understand their pain points in AI development and AI evaluation while identifying opportunities for improvements
- Design, build, and improve AI infrastructure and tooling to unblock product strategy
- Make effective tradeoffs that consider business priorities, user experience, and a sustainable technical foundation
- Set an example for effective, collaborative engineering culture, and help mentor junior team members
- implement, scale, and maintain pipelines and systems that accelerate AI innovations
- build solid infrastructure foundations and high-leverage AI developer tools that empower Vanta’s AI engineers to effectively deliver high-quality AI products
