Google's Pixel Watch Frameworks team is looking to build and support the future of a platform used by millions of people every day, focusing on the unique challenges of the wearable form factor, reliability, performance, and power efficiency. They need to develop integration between Watch and Phone contextual features and design/build future WearOS platform features.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience with software development in the Java programming language.
- 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
- 3 years of experience with Android platform or application development.
- 5 years of experience with with data structures or algorithms.
- Experience in designing/building or working with full-stack architectures.
- Experience software engineering for wearable devices.
- Experience with power or performance optimization.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to on-watch User Context Database and private local inference projects.
- Develop integration between Watch and Phone contextual features.
- Design and build future WearOS platform features.
- Work on full-stack development on Android and Wear.
- Optimize systems for power and performance.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
- The US base salary range for this full-time position is $166,000-$244,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
