The Autonomous Vehicle (AV) Microcontrollers (MCUs) team is responsible for developing the embedded platform software that provides the foundation of our AVs. Our software communicates with sensors, provides observability, enables vehicle operation, manages system health, and more.
Requirements
- 5 + years of experience building and shipping production quality embedded software
- Strong background in C/C++ Embedded Software development
- Experience working with RTOS (such as QNX, FreeRTOS , OSEK, etc )
- Experience with robotics, autonomous vehicles, automotive embedded systems , or ADAS development
- Experience working with AUTOSAR
- Experience working in a Safety Critical Embedded Software Environment (ISO 26262, DO-178C, MIL-STD-882E)
- Experience developing software that scales to millions of instances and managing it
Responsibilities
- Design, Develop, and Test Embedded C software for Multi-Core Microcontrollers
- Develop within a n automotive embedded software stack (BSP, BSW, Application)
- Create pipelines, tooling, and delivery methods to ensure high-quality and efficient deployment cycles
- Work with the hardware team to review HW designs
- Work with the systems team to ensure delivery of systems, safety, and security requirements
Other
- Mentor team members and facilitate cross-team collaboration to ensure overall team success
- Work cross functionally to extract design requirements and stakeholder needs
- Ability to adapt and operate under ambiguity, going from quick code prototypes to long-term plans on brief time horizons
- Excellent communication skills, capable of switching between high-level and detailed discussions
- This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Warren Technical Center in Warren, MI or Mountain View three times per week, at minimum.
