Microsoft’s cloud platform for utility computing is looking to build the foundational infrastructure, including a virtualized computational layer, automated service management system, and scalable storage services, to support capacity flexibility and scalability.
Requirements
- Coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- 2+ years of backend infrastructure experience
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and systems engineering
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, including Azure
- Experience with automated service management systems and scalable storage services
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for a scenario.
- Delivery of a reliable, scalable, secure Capacity Infrastructure Platform solution for 1st and 3rd party customers, contributing technical expertise throughout development stages.
- Acts as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) in monitoring system for interruptions and recommends actions to restore system/product/service.
- Continuously drive improvement across teams based on the resource provisioning ecosystem data.
- Proactively seeks new knowledge and adapts to new trends, technical solutions, and patterns that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale.

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements
- 1+ year(s) of experience leading cross-functional initiatives
- Ability to work with stakeholders to determine user requirements
- Must pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
