Applied Business Software Inc. (ABS) is a Prop Tech company that builds software for the mortgage lending industry. Their marquis product, The Mortgage Office, is the market leader for Loan Servicing software in the private lending industry. They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to architect and build scalable, distributed backend services using Microsoft technologies to drive productivity for an industry ripe for technological innovation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience working with .NET and C-Sharp (experience with ASP.NET, VB.NET, and C-Sharp preferred)
- Strong Computer Science fundamentals with expertise in architecture, object-oriented programming and system design.
- Experience building cloud based, distributed, resilient systems with the ability to handle large and variable traffic volumes.
- Strong understanding of database design and development with SQL Server; experience with NoSQL databases is a plus.
- Experience with CI/CD: Git, Azure DevOps, Jenkins.
- Working knowledge of Docker and cloud platforms Azure (preferred) or AWS.
- Experience working on the frontend using React, Typescript
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and develop scalable, resilient backend services for high-performing web applications that support complex business workflows.
- Ensure software quality and system performance by contributing to architectural decisions, conducting code reviews, and mentoring junior engineers.
- Partner with the Product team to translate customer requirements into solutions that create real impact for borrowers, customers and internal users.
- Collaborate with QA to ensure comprehensive test coverage and assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues.
- Stay ahead of emerging AI trends and help integrate relevant tools and practices into the development lifecycle to improve efficiency and delivery speed.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment by prioritizing tasks effectively and adapting quickly to new challenges.
