Requirements
- Deep expertise in Java or Python (language flexibility).
- Strong experience building APIs, microservices, and distributed systems at scale.
- Proficiency with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
- Strong background in system design, architecture, and infrastructure.
- Experience architecting backend systems for start-ups or zero-to-one products.
- Familiarity with Rust or other modern backend languages.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement reliable, performant backend services and APIs using Java or Python.
- Develop and maintain distributed systems capable of handling gigabyte-scale data and thousands of concurrent users.
- Collaborate with quant and smart contract teams to integrate backend systems with trading infrastructure.
- Apply best practices in security, reliability, and high-performance system design.
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical roadmap planning.
- Contribute to scaling infrastructure and optimizing application performance as the platform grows.

- 4+ years of experience in backend engineering (mid-level; roughly equivalent to L4L5 at large tech companies).
- Comfort working in fast-paced, product-driven environments focused on reliability and scalability.
- Start-up or early-stage product experience.
- Background in payments, fintech, or crypto/Web3 systems.
