Zscaler is looking for a Software Engineer to join their ZDX team to develop and maintain their cloud security platform.
Requirements
- Familiarity with Programming in C.
- Knowledge of software development on Unix/Linux systems.
- Handling of REST APIs.
- Understanding of L4-L7 network model, TCP/IP networking stack.
- Software design, profiling, and verification skills.
- Programming in Rust or Go.
- Good in fundamentals - Operating System concepts, Event-based programming, Multi-threading, Memory optimization, Fault Tolerance, good debugging and troubleshooting skills.
Responsibilities
- Participate in all phases of the product development cycle, from definition, design, through implementation and test.
- Develop functional specifications, assess task requirements and scheduling, and participate in the development, debug, and support.
- Work on design and code components of a large-scale distributed system with a keen sense for high performance and scalability, troubleshooting issues with a hawkish acumen.
- Partner with other feature teams, Operations and Support (when needed) to help keep a healthy cloud and happy customer and at the end of the day – display accountability of areas assigned to you.

- This role is based in our San Jose, CA office (hybrid, 3 days a week in office).
