CoStar Group is looking to expand the data platform that supports its largest brands, including CoStar Suite, LoopNet, and Apartments.com, by hiring a Senior Software Engineer to build large, distributed, API-driven systems.
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in C-Sharp, .NET Framework
- Working knowledge and hands-on experience with cloud-based platforms (AWS or Azure)
- Experience with RESTful web services and ASP.NET MVC/WebAPI
- Experience in architecting, designing, and building large scale, distributed service-oriented systems and Web applications in an agile environment
- Relational database schema design
- SQL and database development knowledge
- Familiarity with AWS PaaS services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, and SQS
Responsibilities
- Build large, distributed, API-driven systems accessed by millions of users each month
- Produce bullet-proof code that is robust, efficient and maintainable; our primary tools are C-Sharp, .NET Framework, SQL Server, AWS
- Lead software design sessions, promote adoption of development patterns, perform code reviews
- Continually evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities, trends, and best practices that can be leveraged to strengthen CoStar’s technology platform and development practices
- Knowledge-sharing and mentoring of more junior-level team members
Other
- Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited, not for profit university or college.
- A track record of delivering long-term impact to prior employers.
- Strong communication skills; the ability to convey technical jargon to both business and technical partners
- This position is located in Arlington, VA. and is in office Monday – Thursday with work from home on Friday.
